About the Clinic
Clontarf Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic established in 1986 is working from its premises at 2A Vernon Avenue since 1993. It is run by Breda Kavanagh. Breda is a member of the Irish Society Of Chartered Physiotherapists.

Experience and expertise in the treatment of all sports and work injuries; all types of soft tissue; spinal and neck pain; all joint pain. Treatment includes assessment and evaluation of posture and muscle strengths and weaknesses.
Localised pain, spasm, and loss of movement are treated using mobilisation techniques, ultrasound; electricity and exercises.

Initial appointment includes taking a detailed history of the presenting complaint, medical investigations and treatment of that complaint and past medical history. Examination includes assessment of movement, muscle strength and weakness and posture.
During treatment pain, spasm and loss of movement are treated using mobilisation and massage techniques, ultrasound, electricity and exercise. Advice is given about lifestyle and posture

Breda qualified from UCD in 1977 and became a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
Following Qualification Breda worked in St Vincent’s Hospital and in the Mater Hospital Dublin. In both these hospitals she gained experience in all areas of physiotherapy practice.
During this time She pursued post graduate studies in sports physiotherapy and joint mobilisation and manipulation.
In 1986 she established Clontarf physiotherapy and sports injury clinic working from its premises at 2A Vernon Avenue since 1993.

As a committed professional and in order to provide the best treatment possible Breda continues her professional development attending lectures ,study weekends and courses.
She has a diploma in aromatherapy and massage treatments.



Treatment Fees
Treatment fees are based on a 30 minute treatment session*
* Cancellations must be notified at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise charges will apply.
Aromatherapy treatment requires a longer treatment time and involves a higher fee.
Corrective Insole measurement requires a longer time and incurs a higher fee.
